Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.
Former twice world title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the customary confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really happening.
